jonas loves to sit on brody's lap and buck up and down. brody thought it would be fun for mia to buck as well. and the fun ensues...

the other day i was leaving the bank and as we passed the wendy's jonas said, "nugget house!" it was so cute. he's such a smart guy, and he definitely knows that if something comes through the window he better be getting some of it.

eckersizing

since we've started working out at home, jonas has picked up on our workouts. often times the workouts include air squats and who wouldnt want to follow in his fathers footsteps? eckersizing is how jonas says "exercising". and for some reason the sound is off, so you might want to turn your volume down.

i like monkeys

tomorrow is jonas' birthday but we had a party tonight. both sets of grandparents came and brody's siblings were able to make it. we just had cake and ice cream and then opened presents. it was lots of fun. jonas got a bunch of curious george stuff and after every present he would get this excited look on his face and stomp around in a circle. it was so fun to watch. but the best part was the cupcakes brody and i made! i thought of it last minute and sent brody to the store, but our cupcakes turned out so cute! jonas couldnt wait to eat them.

this reminds me of the story about cheap monkeys. i like monkeys. check the link. it will make you pee your pants. i did.

jonas actually blew out the candles himself. a proud moment.

today

jonas loves and i mean LOVES to help me clean. his favorite thing is to scrub the toilets with the brush. its definitely from his dad because im not that tidy and OCD. so this is him helping to clean the bathrooms.

okay, this isnt the best picture. i was trying to hurry before she moved, but she does this all the time, its so funny. one word. Thriller.

snow dog

so we had another huge snowstorm and the drifting caused some places to be about 3-4 feet deep. i was out shoveling and jonas came to play when the neighbors dog came over. it was so funny! he was jumping around in the snow and slamming his body into the snow banks. his owner would make snowballs and throw them and he would catch them in his mouth. it was really funny and jonas was so excited aobut it. he kept on shouting, "doggy runnin!" its times like these that i think it would be fun to have a dog, but then i think about potty training it and having to take it for walks and i remember why we only have cats.

goose

this is our little man in black. whenever brody is playing the guitar jonas needs to as well. we are getting a head start on lessons.

so usually i cant get the two year old to sit still for half a second but i'll tell you what, turn on curious george and he turns into a statue. this is a typical morning when it's on. he's such a goofball.

kitchen

so brody went out of town for a training and i decided to paint the kitchen while he was gone. i figured that way he couldnt complain about it because he didnt have to do any of the work. at first i was a bit unsure of the color because it went on really bright, but when it dried it toned down and i've decided i REALLY like it!

Nursing covers

so im doing a repeat post about these super fab nursing covers! i have one and it is so great. its nice to be able to visit with your family and breastfeed at the same time, without feeling like you are going to flash your brother-in-law a nipple. if you order one, the girl in the back on the tag might look a bit familiar. :) these are great for shower gifts and really a must have for moms. using a blanket can be so difficult and this makes it so easy!

baby Ava

this is jonas' new cousin, 2 weeks younger than mia. she's so cute! jonas keeps on saying, baby ava? baby sister binky? its very cute .

announcement

brody thought that we could save money by just putting our announcement for mia on the blog, but not everybody checks our blog, so we'll see.. anyways. here it is for those of you who do.

new and improved

we recently started using a new type of toilet paper compliments of jonas. its really great. i've posted a picture of it in case you want some for yourself.

Here are some pictures of Mia. she only peed on me twice and pooped once. i consider myself lucky!

using alias' already

we took mia to the dr. for her bilirubin test and while there jonas was being a social butterfly. one lady asked him what his name was and he responded, "george." now if we ask him what his name is he says, "monkey george." needless to say, he REALLY likes curious george.
p.s. dont you love his "elmo shoes"?

we also finally got him to hold mia for the first time. he then wanted to put her in the wagon and was very upset when we took her out. its so hard being almost two.

Welcome Home!

Well, here she is! This is our new addition to our family! Mialissa (like tanalissa) was born on December 28 2007 at 3:39 am. She weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and was 18 inches long. We think she's pretty cute!

i know, i know

okay, so its been a while.. its hard when you dont have the internet at regular intervals. im lucky at this moment.
so i only have 4 weeks left but my dr. doesnt think i'll make the end of the year. hopefully the baby will come on new years eve, then she'll always have a party on her birthday!! thats what i'm hoping for at least. no name yet, we are waiting to see what she looks like..
