jonas' new obsession is cars, just like any kid it seems. we spent a good two hours the other day in the driveway as he would push them down and then bring them back up, line them up, and push them down again. it was really cute. thanks to our great neighbor who gave us all his new favorite toys.
so i finally decided to try some digital scrapbooking and i must say. i was intimidated. i've wanted to for a while, but just never got around to it, mostly because i was afraid and hadnt read any tutorials. so i finally did it and im IN LOVE with it. i cant wait til my kids go to bed so i can work on it. its AMAZING! i might never clean my house again. im hooked. and it looks like a real scrap page without lugging the inards of my closet out into the kitchen only to make a GIANT mess and not get anything done. i dont think i'll ever do it traditionally again. i know.. call me crazy, but seriously. my life is definitely better now. enough rambling. here's my first page in a 4 page layout from the 4th of july. i love it. i dont care if nobody else does. ;P
we took jonas bowling at fat cats last saturday and he had so much fun! i havent been bowling in a long time and my score definitely showed it. its sort of hard to take good pictures in the black light, but here's what i got.. he was so funny.
so i did some photos for my sister and i cant believe how good they turned out.. super cute girls. head over to justbeirie to see a few.
i am so excited for our patio! they came and poured the cement today, and jonas was so excited. we were outside the ENTIRE time watching the men. they probably thought we were crazy and trying to nit pick, but jonas just wanted to see everything. i think it looks pretty good! now we just need furniture to go with it. ;(
i just wanted to put some pictures of moo on.. since most of them are of jones. this is her when she just wakes up.. she's a happy thing. cute too. she's rolling over now, but she gets stuck on her belly and just whines until i help her back. silly moo.
the dr. said that we could start with some solids now and so we did rice cereal first which was pretty uneventful, other than mia would gargle it and splatter it all over me. then we decided to do carrots. well, i didn't realize that solids come up just as easily as regular spit up, and if you take the bib off prior to the spit up, it sort of defeats the purpose. well, the carrots didnt sit well, and seemed to make the spit up worse, so we will be waiting a bit longer before we do any other solid foods.
jonas' second favorite chore is washing the bedding because he gets rolled up in the sheets, gets to throw the pillows, and jump on the bed. today he asked if baby sister could jump too. he is just too funny
so we decided to finish our backyard. we had the sprinklers and grass done for us, but we are putting in the retaining wall and patio ourselves. we were able to find some great rocks for the wall, but boy were they heavy! and my hands hurt so bad.. it will be nice once its all finished and we can enjoy it. hopefully the brown spots will green up.
well. we did it. we finally did it. and this is the end result. after much debate and sadness we went through with it. i think that it will be easier, but i'm still sad.

jones found his daddy's goggles in the swim bag. oh the fun.
and the end result of falling off the piano bench, along with biting the tongue. poor guy.mia has to be held or be within eyesite of someone, preferable mom, all day long. i had to pee so bad, and couldnt take the crying anymore, so i decided to try something new. luckily a certain 2 year old's sock monkey was handy, and i had a stroke of genius. it totally worked, at least long enough for me to talk to a man about a horse and return! sometimes moms are just so smart. (ps. look at her eyes! its like the monkeys attacking her!)
jonas was helping me make mia's tutu and when he was done he was adamant that he needed to wear it, along with a cape.. (grammy has a book about zoe and elmo regarding tutus and capes). he was also helping me make some greeting cards and he pipes up with, "too cute.. these flowers are too cute!" he doesnt even know the half of too cute. 
so i entered mia's picture in a local baby contest at a store and she's a finalist! yay!! so if you would click on the link and vote for her i would love it! if we win we get a 25$ gift certificate to sassy babies. contest ends the end of May. thanks for your support, and remember,
we were at target and saw these fabulous lawn decorations. jonas loves the mingos. he stands on his toybox to look out the window at them!
after brody went to work, i was in the kitchen and jonas was in the bedroom playing. then i hear him saying, Hi dad. Hi dad. Hi dad. I thought, does he have my phone, did he call someone? so i went in to check on him, and found this.... very cute. 
Jonas loves the pool and i mean LOVES it! he refers to the pool as the water mushroom because one of the big toys looks like a mushroom. well, the other day i heard him talking about it to someone and i looked over and he was crouched in front of Mud telling her all about it! He was telling her in the cutest smallest voice about the water mushroom, the sprinkler, and the deep end. it was so cute because he was so sincere like she was really listening and at any moment would meow in agreement and decide to go in her pink bikini...
two year olds arent the only ones who love trains. fat black cats do too.
since we've started working out at home, jonas has picked up on our workouts. often times the workouts include air squats and who wouldnt want to follow in his fathers footsteps? eckersizing is how jonas says "exercising". and for some reason the sound is off, so you might want to turn your volume down.
