i love summer. sure, i might complain that its hot. i'm sweaty. it's hot. and did i mention, it's hot? but, it's much better than dreary old winter. and when you have a waterpiller, who cares how hot it is!

oh. the whining.

you know. they really are sort of cute. i think i'll keep them around. even though i have had more than enough tantrums, no's, wild kicks when a certain someone doesn't get his way, and whining. oh, the whining.

i didn't know girls could be so dramatic this early? really? it starts now? but alas, i can't help but love them. when jonas says, mama, i your best friend, my heart melts, just a little.

every time i have the camera out, jonas BEGS me to let him take a picture. and since its a rather large and expensive camera i'm always a little reluctant to let him. but today, i did. i know. i'm so nice. this is what we ended up with. they were pretty funny. he just holds his finger on the shutter button and i end up with like a million pictures.

don't mind the model. it was early. and well, i didnt feel like doing much. around the house, or with myself.

oh, the young 'uns.

i wish, i wish. twenty eight is only 10 years older, right? what's a lousy ten years.

holy moley, it was a busy week! what with the beehive bazaar (im sure you all went and supported your local utah artists), new babies, sick kids, and sewing my fingers to the bone, im glad its all over. here is a picture of our new neighbor. isnt she the yummiest? i just wanna pinch those cheeks, but im not that mean. instead we just made her get naked and stuff. brr..

for the big man's birthday, instead of cake, we splurged on our diets and had thin crust pizza and whole fruit {virgin} margaritas. i know, i know.. we are totally going wild. spiking our GI's and getting wasted on fruit. a good time all around.

lovely little thing

ah... a new piece of furniture. nothing major, but just a little something for spice. i quite like it.. and it was cheap! i re purposed it with some old paint i had. and now it looks great!

the party was really good! the kids had a great time running amok and playing games. the house was chaotic and a disaster afterwards, but jonas had a great time and i wouldnt have it any other way.

i always have a big smile on my face when i'm getting hit with a bat as well.

it cant have been 3 years already! seriously? its so cliche, but time flies! holy cow. my goose is getting so big and as handsome as ever. he is so funny and sweet. not as adventurous as mia, always a bit more cautious and such a tender heart. the other day he told me, "mama. i your best friend." it just melted my heart.

wow.. i was so big. no wonder people asked if i was having twins. but i guess gaining 50 lbs in your belly (and ankles) will do that.

while in san diego we saw a local station showing this recipe for mushroom, red onion, and blue cheese pizza. the guy preparing it was sort of nutty, but it sounded good. so today b-dog whipped it up in no time and it was SOOO good. a bit gourmet, but EASY gourmet.

oh.. our trip to cabo was SO nice. i mean, it would be hard to make it not nice. but its good to be home. sadly part of our trip was crapped out becuase we had to miss one of our port stops. a guy on our cruise had a heart attack and we had to return to cabo after we'd already left. that meant to make up the distance we had to skip ensenada and we were on the boat for 3 straight days.. talk about cabin fever! anways, san diego was probably our favorite part. we had 6 hours between getting off the boat and our flight leaving so we grabbed a rental car and toured the city, hit some beaches, and decided that california is WAAAAY better than utah. here are our pics.
